Goodies Galore....I'm still here

Well, I'm still here. I've been staying in a lot and not doing much. I am going to have surgery in a few weeks to hopefully correct this problem. Still have the catheter coming out of my kidney.

Holly has been to the vet a couple of times. She has spondylosis in her spine. There is a surgery that can be done but at her age the vet does not really recommend it. I would hate for her to have more pain because of that. She has been itching and losing some fur, so she had a scraping done of her skin and the vet does not see any mites so he has given her an injection and has her on steroids for a little bit to see if it helps. She still gets a bath every week. She has fallen in the pool one time when I was distracted. I had taken my eyes of them for a few minutes but I was outside near them. I turned around and saw her heading right for the pool. I moved really fast to try to stop it and I fell down! But she went under and came up and started paddling. I grabbed her out. She didn't seem too upset. Maybe it felt good?? It just scares me so bad whenever one of them falls in.

Emma and Sugar both have some stomachache problems so they both are on medicine and some kind of sprinkles on their food.

Alfred is doing great. He is such a good boy.

My work has picked up so that's a good thing. I really need to blog more often...but seems I haven't been anywhere much to share on here. But I do have some goodies to share that have arrived at my door from very nice folks in the blogging world!

Here is a bunch of stamping goodies from a new blogging/stamping friend I made that lives in Australia. We both love Papertrey Ink stamps and paper and we met on the forum there. I sent her some things and she sent me some things. It is so interesting to hear what she has to say about Australia. She makes beautiful cards and she made me a couple of cards that were sent in this package of goodies. Thank you, Denise!

Magnolia Sun had a birthday last week and she came out this way so we could go to the beach to a good burger place! I forgot my camera but she did get some pictures with hers. It was a very nice day at the beach that day.

I had Girlville make a sign for MS for her birthday. She already has it hanging in her craft room. Girlville does great work! She has an etsy shop, too.

Deep Fried Kudzu sent this plant to me! It was a nice surprise. It's so green and pretty. Check out her blog because she has lots of information on different art subjects and she also has a lot of crafting ideas she shares. She also shares info on restaurants and hotels that she and her husband frequent on their travels.

Here is the box of goodies I received from 30 Something from winning her blogaversary drawing! Oh my goodness...the choco covered popcorn was the best I have ever had. I love the Kleenex holder and makeup bag that she made...the colors are so pretty. I am going to make the lemonade mix soon. I need to get some lemons to add to it.

Aunt Sue and I went to this restaurant and had a good hamburger. I think we'll go back here at some point. The flag in the background is made from baseballs.

Here is the yummy Blue Burger. See the fried onions and steak sauce..yummy.

Good old Coke! They have a bottomless lemonade with different flavors. I'll have to try that next time.

I'll be back with more tomorrow...hopefully.

Mid April

I just want to thank everyone for their sweet comments and thoughts and prayers for me during this time.

Well, this week I found out that the stent they placed in my kidney ended up in the wrong place. Long story short, I am not healing. So the urologist took the stent out yesterday and I have to wear the catheter coming out of my kidney for a month until I have surgery which will be after my niece's wedding in May. I'll be in the hospital about three days after that surgery. I'll have a stent in for a month after that while the surgery spot heals. I sure pray this all works. But it will be a long month with this catheter..yuck. it's just too uncomfortable not to mention you have to be careful not to get it contaminated with any germs and I'm a bit of a germ freak.

I found this surprise at my front door last week! Pretty roses from Alfred'sMom. It sure was a bright spot in my day. And they smelled good and I enjoyed them every time I passed by them on the table. Thank you AM!

They were nicely packaged! It always amazes me how they can package flowers where they don't get damaged.

Aunt Sue's birthday was last week. She had a yummy cake. Mama and daddy came over and we went out to eat. This was the first time in forever that I didn't have a birthday gift for Aunt Sue...but one will be coming soon...just haven't been able to get out and shop. I did make her a card and I'll put it up in my stamping blog at some point. I'm managing to get one card done a week.

The girls put on their Easter dresses to show their grandmama and grandpapa when they came over last week.

Little Holly Dolly had x-rays done on her back this past week because her legs fall out from under her and we wanted to see what was going on with that. Looks like she has several disk in her back that are really compressed (I think is what he said). Vet is going to send x-rays to radiologist to see if a biopsy is needed to see if anything else is going on. He thinks she is too old to have surgery, that her bones might not heal well at this age. I just want to make sure she is comfortable and not hurting. I am still waiting to hear what the radiologist says.

Still recovering...Easter Dresses...Vera Bradley

*** I see where I won 30 Something's blogaversary giveaway! That just makes my night and day! Thank you Pam!

Knock...Knock...anyone still coming around here? I'm still recovering from the complications and this past week has been a doozie. I had a stent placed in the right kidney last Thursday and it caused a good bit of pain for the following days until yesterday I started feeling less of that pain. I still have a catheter coming out of the right kidney and then it comes out of my back so I have to be careful not to pull it. But there is T-A-P-E that holds it in place on my skin and it's really hurting my skin. It hurts to get it off and I've tried two different kinds. Anyway, I've been taking the pain medicine a good bit lately and that seems to help but haven't had to have any in two days now. I go back in on Thursday for some x-ray test or something...to see if the ureter is healing. I am trying not to get my hopes up about getting the catheter out because it might not happen. I have to say, I don't want to have to go through having it placed in again...so just leave it in if it needs to stay a bit more.

In better news...I bought three dresses from Punchy's etsy shop and they are adorable on the girls. Her skills at dressmaking are great. They arrive all pressed and ready to wear!

Here is Sugar in her blueish-teal dress. It is so pretty. The husband wants Emma to have this dress..but I say it belongs to Sugar.

Emma gets the adorable green bunny rabbit dress. It is just beautiful. I knew when I saw it, I had to get it for her.

Now, Holly got the pink gingham dress and it's got her name all over it. She looks so young and springy in it. I just want her to wear it all the time because she looks so happy in it.

Alfred was feeling a bit left out of the new clothes so I put Emma's dress on him. He looks great...but he's all boy and the look on his face tells me he wasn't going to move with that dress on.

Girlville tagged me to show my purse and what was in it. You couldn't go get a purse out of the closet to show...which I have a new Coach that I got around Christmastime and I used it about a month but it was so heavy without anything in it...so once I got my things in it, it really was heavy...so in the closet it went. But I need to get it out and use it.

Anyway, here's the contents of my purse. My Vera Bradley wallet that matches my purse, hand sanitizer, writing pens, gum, pills, money, cell phone, Burt's Bees lip gloss, business checkbook, barrette, assorted papers, and change that I dug out of the bottom of the purse...not all of that change came out today...just some of it.

Here is my purse...it's Vera Bradley black quilted pattern. It has a long shoulder strap that you can wear across your body. I like it for traveling. It's deep and has several pockets so it stores a good bit of stuff. I am not a paisley person, so a lot of Vera Bradley is not for me, but I love her colors and patterns and the solids, too.
