Lovely Chichi

Whoa...I've been gone too long from the blog. I just have not been feeling like posting. I feel like my life is so boring. But it's been hot here and I hibernate even more during the summer. I have been getting out just a bit. Sometimes I forget to take pictures. I used to be so good about taking pictures and posting and when I go back through my blog, I miss doing that. I need to get back into the habit of taking time to get a picture.

It was two years ago tonight that our first pug Chichi passed away. What a wonderful little girl she was. We sure do have some good memories of her and of Tiny. We had them from puppies. It was nice to experience having a pug puppy in our life. I don't think I'll have another puppy. I love the older pugs who need homes and some who need help medically...so I imagine I will forever be adopting those. But Chichi will always be my first love!

Here is Chichi in 2006. Her eyes were always the biggest thing about her.

One day Aunt Sue and I went to JCPenny's. It is in a mall here that is closed down except for the anchor stores. The mall part and food court are gone. I think they are thinking of making this mall into an outdoor-type mall. But with the economy like it is, I'm not sure if it will happen. It's so depressing to see it like it is now. We walked through the interior of the mall to get from Penny's to Sears and this is what it looks like.

All right...here is Magnolia Sun at lunch one day at Red Robin. I wish I had that burger right now. I had a burger there that had guacamole on it and now that has me started on some kind of kick where I want guacamole on all my burgers now.

Here is Alfred sitting by the back door daydreaming of me letting him stay outside by himself. Not going to happen. Not with that pool out there. He fell in one time and the husband got him right now.

Magnolia Sun and Aunt Sue and I went to lunch today at a little bistro restaurant. The food was so good. All three of us like what we got. MS and I got this Mahi Mahi fish with sundried tomato risotto. Oh boy was it good.

I really have enjoyed my Kindle so much.

Here are a few of the books I've recently read.
Gilding Lily
Heat: An Amateur Cook in a Professional Kitchen
1st to Die
The Quickie
The Sharper Your Knife the Less you Cry
Swine Not? A Novel
Fatally Flaky
The Tin Roof Blowdown

Oh....I have an etsy shop for my cards but I have nothing made to put in it. I will give you the details as soon as I have something in it.

Husband is on a golf trip this weekend and he couldn't be happier!

Herbie is camping out here for a few days.

JUST A NOTE TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Cell phones should be banned from the grocery stores. Causes people to not pay attention and be a danger to everyone around them...but, gee, it might cause my cart to run into the feet of the cell phone offender...just kidding...I'm just saying....

lol about the cell phone thing.. I REFUSE to serve people at the restaurant if they are on the phone.. it makes them mad but I am trying to teach them manners, when they FINALLY get off or come in search of me I always tell them "Oh I did not want to interupt!" lol It pisses them off but makes me feel good. People are SO RUDE... Also I do not want to know your sister slept with that guy last night...

Please come back to blogging regularly!

I am so excited that you opened up an Etsy shop! SOO SOO happy for you. I am sure it will do well. Keep us updated.

Alfred looks very happy. Yes- he does love the great outdoors, and exploring, but I think he probably loves just laying in that sunny spot too. I am so happy for him.

Wow, I can't believe it has been two years since Chichi passed away. I miss seeing her sweet face on the blog.

We had a mall like that here, but they finally tore it down and built an outdoor mall. It was really creepy walking around with all the stores closed. And I totally agree about cell phones in the grocery store.

Good to see you back on. It may actually guilt me into posting on my own blog, lol.
Love the pug pics and the food pics. Somehow my oatmeal feels inadequate...
Glad you are enjoying your Kindle. I am still hoping to get one for Christmas! They seem so cool.
Have a great day!
