The husband buys some kind of treat that is shaped like a bone but has a soft middle. I can't remember the name of it. They love these things. This is Emma and Holly enjoying their chews.
Emma and Alfred enjoying being on top of the husband on Saturday afternoon.
I have come down with a yucky cold. Went to the doctor today to see if I should take something to knock it out fast. She said it was viral and did give me any antibiotics...I got nasonex and mucinex. So I sit here and cough and just yuck!
I have to tell you that I ended up in the emergency room a couple of weeks ago. I was having bad pain from my female time of the month. It's gotten bad over the past year and the GYN has been talking to me about have a hysterectomy. I also had gone to a radiologist to discuss having a uterian artery embolization. But that was not going to keep the problem from developing again (fibroid tumors). So once I ended up with that bad bad pain two weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and have the hysterectomy. So March 5th, that's what I'll be doing. Hopefully get to keep the ovaries but get the rest of it out. I don't believe I'm going to miss any of it either! I need to get over this cold quick.
My little trip to the ER was $2,000! Thank goodness we have insurance but honestly..... There was only one other person in the waiting area and I was hurting and nauseous and asked if I could go back and lay down. They said no. So a few minutes later I started throwing up right there in the waiting room!!! Guess how quick they took me back?? They had a PA that came in after about an hour and a half to see me ..all this time I am in so much pain. Then it took at least 45 more minutes to get me the pain shot and shot for nausea! I was sent a survey in the mail to answer questions about the treatment at the emergency room....I ripped them a new one on that survey. The husband and Aunt Sue were with me during all this.
Oh, I had a crown put on my tooth, too. can you say $$$$ and we don't have dental insurance so....gee whiz. I almost wanted to just have the tooth pulled because it already had a root canal and a crown...then it got this decay and they had to take the crown off and replace it....so after all this I imagine that tooth has cost me about $3,000. The husband told me I had to get it fixed and not pulled or I'd end up with a mouth of false teeth before I knew it!
Anybody watching The Bachelor? Looks like it's going to get real interesting in the next two weeks.

Oh my goodness that was quite a post. I am so sorry about your woman issues! I sure hope the surgery fixes it all and that the recovery isnt too hard. Just tell Ed to keep the pugs from jumping on you!
I was suppose to have a crown on a tooth about 3 years ago, but then I got pregnant and then we didnt have the money and then we up and moved to korea and so...who knows how that tooth is now. They have a dental clinic on post but its tough to get an appt. I really should try. This particular tooth was in bad shape back then so I am sure its no better...
I'm so sorry about your horrible emergency room visit. I wish hospitals were like restuarnts and would send you a free meal voucher in the mail if you had a bad time. :)
Emma and Sugar are so sweet in that stroller. I'm glad they get to get out and about. They are ladies about the town after all.
I'm glad you scheduled your hysterectomy. I hate to think about you being in so much pain. Good for you for ripping those people a new one. They need to know what kind of treatment you received! How awful!!
I'm so sorry about all that pain you were in! When I had the flu last year I ended up having to go to the ER since it was so late at night and told them how bad I was feeling...it took an hour to be seen by the nurse...after I threw up in the waiting room...and then another two hours to be seen by a doctor to tell me what i already knew...i had the flu. All I wanted was the Rx for Tamiflu! I got home around 2 a.m. after nearly five hours. It was awful. I hate ERs...they just seem to heartless and overworked.
I'll be praying for you on March 5th! I'm sure everything will go great. My mom had similar problems several years ago and ended up having a hysterectomy...she is so much happier now!
Oh my.. I am sorry you are in so much pain.. I hope you get to feeling better soon!!
Alfred and Holly really look like they have made themselves at home.. I love it
I'm sorry you've had such a time Sandy! Oh, I've had some really bad ER experiences before. Sometimes they take you back quickly and others you sit and sit. Torture! I hope you feel better soon though..all around!
Yes, the Bachelor!!! What do you think is going to happen? I knew DeAnna had broken off with Jesse but had no idea she came back to Jason. That mysterious commercial about the After the Rose show has me intrigued. Wonder what happened. I can't believe we have to wait two weeks. I wish they'd stop that Women Tell All show.
Wow! Lots going on with you!!!
Emma and Sugar look adorable!
Surgery....it will be good for you to get rid of the trouble...once and for all!!!!
Crown...UGH! P has one tooth with crown and root canal. He has developed infection at root of tooth. Got sent to oral surgeon who is suggested to PULL the tooth and put in a dental implant. The implant is $1500 THEN need to do another crown!!!! Are they serious? I told him I want lasar surgery before he gets one dumb tooth! We do have dental insurance though and are waiting to hear the entire cost.
Glad to hear your were honest on your survey!
Wow...what a lot of trouble you've been having. My co-worker just recently had a hysterectomy (having all her girly parts removed) and she was so happy she did. She also had tumors. Good luck with that...everyone will be sending good thoughts your way!
When it rains- it pours! Sorry to hear your ER stories! We have been 3 times in the last year and it is no fun! The best way to go is by ambulance- you go in the back door and get seen much faster! You will be so glad you had the surgery! I had one 12 years ago and it has been great! The worst thing I can say is that I was really sleepy for 2 weeks and watched HGTV nonstop. Your pugs will surround you with cuddles and they will be great nurses! And the tooth...UGH! I will be joining you on that one...my appointment is March 9th. Too bad they can't give you a package deal and do it all at once!
I think all emergency rooms are horrible and why on earth does it take so long? I've got a dental apppointmen next week and I hope it's not going to be bad news for one of my teeth, we have dental insurance and it's still expensive.
