Yesterday, the power company came and turned off the power here before 8:00 a.m. So I was without power most of the day while the generator company did their electrical work and installed the generator. Here it is! The workmen had to dig from where the generator was placed to the side of the house where the gas pipe are...they asked the husband if they could move the generator closer to the house so that they didn't have to dig that far! Husband told them no, they had to put the generator where it was decided by me and the salesman. I went out there this morning to take this picture and it was not far at all that they had to dig. Gee! Plus there are regulations as to where the generator can sit as far as windows and fences and any other structures. They still have more work to do on it and then an inspection has to be done and then the gas company will unlock the gas thingy and it should be good to go. This should make the summertime power outages and hurricane outages that can last days and days much easier.
Yesterday, Aunt Sue and mama and daddy came over and we went to Aegean Breeze for lunch. My cold really really was terrible yesterday...I guess it was that one day that it really is doing the most to make you feel bad. When we got back from lunch, they all went home and I went straight to bed (still no electricity). I woke up around 5:30 and went back to bed an hour later. Woke up about 10:00 and went back to sleep an hour later and slept all that time! I feel a little better today but still congested and coughing. One of the best things about pugs is they love to lay in the bed and sleep as long as you do!
Aunt Sue and I are getting our hair cut on Saturday. We both have not had our hair cut since last July! Jackie, lady who cuts our hair, is studying to be a radiology tech and I think this is her last semester of school so I bet she will not be cutting hair much longer. We really really will miss her. Jackie cuts Magnolia Sun's hair, too.
One day last year on a Sunday morning at church, I was standing there when a lady approached me and when I realized who it was I was so happy and shocked to see her. It was the lady that used to cut our hair a few years ago. She got married and moved to Colorado and then Las Vegas. You can't imagine how surprised I was to see her. Her husband got her to go to church after they married. They moved back here that very week. So Aunt Sue and I will be going back to get our hair cut from her as soon as Jackie quits cutting hair.
I have a couple of new cards up here. I still have a long way to go before I'm satisfied with what I'm making. I made a pretty wedding card but too many goofs. So I'll make it again and try to get it perfect before I post a picture of it. I sure do enjoy making the cards when I don't have my regular work to do.

So glad you finally got your generator! Also glad the husband stood his ground with the installation crew! I hope you're feeling better today. Colds are just horrible.
I'm so glad your finally get everything finished with the generator. Hopefully your feeling better soon. I think everybody around here has something.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I just had similar surgery and I'm up and around already. I was able to go home the same day.
And you will feel so much better after you've healed up.
So sorry to hear about your health problems. I HATE emergency rooms. Why do they call them that anyway? Although, the other day when my husband ended up there they did get him in and out quite fast. He was pleased w/that.
Glad you got that generator hooked up. Good idea. I totally understand about the hurricanes, even though poor Fla seems to always be a little harder hit than us...
Take care & get over that nasty old cold!
Tammy:)
Very cool piece of machinery. That will make things a lot easier for you...
